Health Benefits of Danti (Baliospermum Montanum)
In Ayurveda, Danti is used to treat constipation, swelling, skin conditions, burning feeling, jaundice, piles, calculus, scabies, skin disorders, and conditions resembling purulent ulcers.
It has flavonoids, glycosides, sterols, steroids and terpenoids, myristate, montanin, baliospermum, axillarenic acid, and many more compounds.
As an antidote for snakebite, the plant is anti-rheumatic, febrifuge, anthelmintic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anodyne, diuretic, diaphoretic, thermogenic, purgative, cathartic, and stimulant. A leaf offers numerous other benefits, including anti-asthma, anti-wound-healing, and anti-dropsy.
