How to Do Tulasana (Scale Pose)

Tulasana, also known as the Scale Pose, is a strengthening yoga posture that improves balance, core stability, and arm strength. Follow these steps to practice it correctly:

Steps to Perform Tulasana (Tolasana)

  1. Begin by sitting in Dandasana (Staff Pose) with your legs extended straight in front of you.

  2. Slowly bend your knees and cross your legs into a comfortable seated position like Sukhasana (Easy Pose).

  3. Inhale deeply and place both hands on the floor beside your hips, one at a time (you may start with the right hand).

  4. Press your palms firmly into the ground and engage your arms to support your body weight.

  5. As you exhale, lift your entire body off the floor using your arms by keeping your elbows straight.

  6. Maintain the posture with your spine slightly forward but straight, and your face looking ahead.

  7. Hold the pose for 2-3 breaths. Slowly exhale, lower your body back down, and release your hands.

  8. Extend your legs back into Dandasana.

  9. Repeat the pose 3-4 times.
