Pashinee Mudra is a classical yogic posture named after the Sanskrit word "Pasha", meaning noose. The final position resembles the body being gently twisted, tied, and drawn inward like a noose, which is why it is called Pashinee Mudra. This mudra is also associated with deep internal cleansing, energy flow, and spinal flexibility.
How to Perform Pashinee Mudra
Lie comfortably on your back in Shavasana (Corpse Pose).
Inhale slowly and raise both legs together upward.
Beginners may use hand support, but with regular practice, the lift should engage the core and thigh muscles.
Gradually lift the buttocks and waist off the floor and move both legs behind the head.
Allow the toes to touch the floor behind the head, with the body weight resting gently on the neck and upper back.
In the final posture, keep the legs straight, spine curved, and either support the waist with the hands or rest the hands on the floor.
Slowly lift the waist further and bring the knees close to the ears on either side.
Close the eyes, gaze upward internally, and focus on the Manipura Chakra (Solar Plexus Chakra).
Breathe deeply and calmly throughout the practice, observing the flow of energy.
