Yoga Postures >> Kubera Mudra (Gesture of Wealth) Yoga Posture

Why is it called Kubera Mudra?

Kubera Mudra is named after Kubera, the Hindu god of wealth, prosperity, and abundance. Traditionally, this mudra is believed to attract prosperity, enhance focus on goals, and cultivate a positive mindset. It symbolizes the intention to achieve success, abundance, and overall well-being.

How to Perform Kubera Mudra

  1. Sit comfortably on the floor, a yoga mat, or a chair, depending on your convenience.

  2. Assume any comfortable meditation posture, such as Padmasana (Lotus Pose) or Sukhasana (Easy Pose).

  3. Close your eyes and take a few slow, deep breaths to relax your body and mind.

  4. Rest your hands comfortably on your knees with the palms facing upward.

  5. Bring the tips of the thumb, index finger, and middle finger together. Fold the ring finger and little finger gently toward the palm.

  6. Keep your shoulders relaxed and maintain a straight spine.

  7. Focus your attention on the mudra and observe the flow of energy within your body.

  8. You may silently chant the affirmation or mantra: "Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Shreem Kleem Vitteshvaraya Namah", which is traditionally associated with gratitude, prosperity, abundance, and the removal of negative influences.

  9. Continue breathing slowly and deeply throughout the practice.
