Why is it called Akash Mudra?
Akash Mudra is performed to help balance the Akasha (space or ether) element in the body according to yogic and Ayurvedic principles. This mudra is also believed to support the Vishuddha Chakra (Throat Chakra), which is associated with communication, expression, and purification.
Practicing Akash Mudra regularly may help harmonize the space element within the body and promote overall physical and mental balance.
