Atisarahara (anti-diarrheal), deepen (appetizer), jwarahara (anti-pyretic), kanthya (good for throat ), hikkanigrhana (anti-hiccup), swasashara (anti-asthmatic), raktapittahara (useful in bleeding disorders), sothahra(anti-inflammatory)

Therapeutic Uses

1. Sarwanga sotha - root decoction is useful in whole-body inflammation.
2. Jwara - fruit and root powder with honey is useful in chronic fever.
3. Kasa - bark decoction is beneficial in cough and the common cold.

Dose

Bark powder - 3-6 gm, decoction - 40-80 ml
