Therapeutic Indication

Grahi (stops oversecretions), raktapittahara (treat bleeding disorders), arshoghna (anti-hemorrhoidal), atisarahara (anti-diarrheal )

Therapeutic Uses

1. Atisara - bark decoction is useful in diarrhea and dysentery.
2. Shlipada - bark decoction with cow urine is beneficial in filariasis.
3. Dantashoola - twig of shakhotaka is useful as a toothbrush in toothache, and bleeding gums.

Dose

root powder - 1-3 gm, bark decoction - 40-80 ml
