Varnya (good for skin), deepen (appetizer), vrishya (aphrodisiac), jwarahara (anti-pyretic), kushthghna (treat skin disorders)

Therapeutic Uses

1. Jwara - leaves of patola and decoction of dhanyaka are given in fever.
2. Twakavikara - leaves paste is applied on the skin in skin disorders.
3. Netraroga - ghee prepared with patola is useful to treat eye problems.
