After completing B.A.M.S. one can get job in government or private sector as a :

Medical officer :

Central Government Jobs:

Statel Government Jobs:
- As a medical officer in State govt. ayurveda hospitals.
- As a Medical officer in Muncipal corporation Hospital of state govts.

Private Sector Jobs:
- As Medical officer in private Ayurveda Hospitals and centers like Shri Shri Ravishankar's Art of Living hospitals, Baba Ramdev's Pantajali yogpeeth center, Maharshi Mahesh yogi's center, Other corporate organizations.
- As a Medical officer at Private Ayurveda medical colleges.

Research officer :

Government organizations like
- ICMR(Indian Council of Medical Research)
- Medicinal plant Board

appoint Ayurvedic graduates and post-graduates for the post of Research fellow (JRF and SRF).
Pharmacy industries also have their own R&D department, where in they appoint Ayurvedic graduates.

Ayurvedic Pharmacist :

As a Ayurvedic Pharmacist in government Ayurveda hospitals,pharmaceutical companies,private Ayurvedic colleges.

Academician :

Post graduates are eligible for teaching jobs in both government and private organizations. View the list of Ayurvedic Colleges in India Approved By CCIM.One can join as Academician in Ayurvedic nursing course,Ayurvedic Coumpounder course,Panchakarma therapist courses etc.

Management :

For students who are interested in Management and also want to have a career related to the medical field can do MPH (Masters in Public Health), MHA (Masters in Health Administration) and MBA (Hospital and Healthcare management). Other than this, courses like Sports Medicine, Disaster Management, Industrial Management, Preventive and Promotive healthcare, Masters in Personnel Management are also good options. UPSC examinations and state level administration examinations are conducted every year. BAMS students are eligible to appear for these examinations and enter in the government services as administrator.

Durg Manufacturing:

In the manufacturing sector, production of Ayurvedic medicines is a good business. Apart from actual manufacturing, other options such as cultivation of medicinal plants, trading raw materials in the form of powder, extracts, oils, etc., are also in great demand. Not only ayurvedic medicines, but also Ayurvedic cosmetics and food products have equally big market.
Courses such as BPharm (Ayurved) in Jamnagar and BHU, MSc (Pharmaceutical Medicine), MBA (Medicinal Marketing) (MUHS, Nasik), Diploma in Herbal Medicinal Manufacturing (Pune University and IPER Pune) are also available.

Other Options:

There is great potential in manufacturing of equipments required for Ayurvedic treatments like Panchakarma.
Medical transcription, medical tourism, medical event management, medical journalism, medical photography and documentation are also fields with a bright future. BAMS graduates can complete LLB and work as legal medical advisor.

Note: One has to qualify the selection procedure which includes entrance exam ,interview as per the norms.
