How to Use Tulsi for Skin:

  • Tulsi leaves paste and/or powder is useful for external application to the skin.

  • For a detoxification of the entire body and skin, take Tulsi cold infusions.

  • Tulsi seeds are also useful for bulk formation and laxatives. It also helps to relieve constipation and detoxify the body.

  • Besides being beneficial as a rejuvenating herb for the skin, Tulsi oil is also beneficial for treating various infections.


  • Benefits for Skin:

  • Tulsi has wound healing properties which helps heal acne and chronic wounds.

  • It soothes the skin well and helps to relieve burning sensations.

  • It relieves skin itching, irritation, and ringworm infections.

  • It removes toxins and filth from the body and skin internally.


  • Risk factors:

  • Tulsi is hot in potency, so it is used with care and in accordance with the disease and the physician's advice.

  • Some people are allergic to Tulsi, in such case they can avoid direct use or use with a carrier oil.


  • Face packs:

  • Add multani mitti and honey to holy basil leaves and apply to scars and acne to reduce excessive oil production, and acne as well.

  • Add holy basil powder to sesame oil, heat for a few seconds, and apply to the face. Massage for 15 minutes, then wash it with chickpea flour, to reduce wrinkles and increase elasticity.

  • Add honey to Tulsi leaves and hibiscus flowers, and apply to darken skin. This will remove dead skin cells, and rejuvenate skin.
