How to Use Star Fruit in the Kitchen

Recipe: |
Soak chia seeds in water for 3-4 hours or overnight. |
Slice a raw star fruit, sprinkle with salt, and let it rest for 2-3 hours. |
Rinse the slices with water and blend them with 3-4 mint leaves into a coarse paste. |
Pour the paste into a serving glass and add water, black salt, soaked chia seeds, sugar, and extra mint leaves. |
Mix well and serve chilled. |

Recipe: |
Take washed star fruit and slice it thinly. |
In a frying pan over medium heat, combine sugar and water, bringing it to a boil for 1-2 minutes. |
Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180-200° C for 5 minutes. |
Add the sliced star fruit and cinnamon powder to the pan, then let it simmer for 15-20 minutes. |
Strain the slices and place them on a baking sheet. |
Bake until the sugar syrup is fully absorbed and the slices turn crisp, about 10-15 minutes, checking occasionally. |
This tangy candy is great for children and is a refreshing summer treat, perfect for chewing between meals to boost appetite. |
Star Fruit and Pomegranate Dip:
Ingredients: |
Star fruit chopped |
1 cup |
Salt |

Pomegranate seeds |

Jaggery (optional) |

Recipe: |
In a mixer jar, blend ½ cup of chopped star fruit and ½ cup of pomegranate seeds into a smooth paste. |
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the remaining star fruit and pomegranate seeds along with salt, chilli powder, and jaggery. |
Mix well and serve at room temperature. |
Enjoy it as a jam or dip with chapati or brown bread. |
