  • Recipes:

    Long Pepper-Banana Sweet Fries:

    Ingredients:
    Raw banana 3
    Long pepper powder 1 t.spoon
    Salt A Pinch
    Jaggery for treacle 1 cup
    Water For boiling
    Oil/ghee For frying
    Cardamom powder ¼ t.spoon
    Recipe:
  • Take a raw banana and cut it into julienne strips or fries.
  • Boil the banana pieces in water with a pinch of salt until they are half-cooked.
  • Strain them onto a dry cloth and let them cool for 2-3 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan for frying.
  • Fry the banana pieces until golden brown, or bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10-15 minutes, ensuring they don't burn.
  • Sprinkle long pepper powder and cardamom powder over the fries and mix well.
  • To prepare the treacle, heat broken jaggery with ¼ cup of water in a pan for 2-3 minutes until it reaches a thin consistency.
  • Drizzle the treacle over the fries or serve it as a dip.
  • This snack is both healthy and delicious, perfect for children and those with dessert cravings!


  • Long Pepper Root-Barley Soup:

    Ingredients:
    Barley ½ cup
    Long pepper 1 t.spoon
    Water 3-4 cup
    Ghee 2 t.spoon
    Curry leaves 1 t.spoon
    Asafoetida Pinch
    Cumin seeds ½ t.spoon
    Salt As per taste
    Lemon juice 1 t.spoon
    Coconut desiccated 2 t.spoon
    Recipe:
  • Heat a heavy-bottomed pan and add 1 teaspoon of ghee.
  • Roast the barley until it turns pinkish-brown.
  • Transfer it to a bowl and let it cool.
  • Grind the roasted barley in a mixer or mill to make flour.
  • In a pot, heat ½ teaspoon of ghee and add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  • Add curry leaves and long pepper powder.
  • Mix in the barley flour, salt, and 2 cups of water.
  • Boil the mixture for 10-15 minutes until it thickens into a soup.
  • Garnish with desiccated coconut and serve hot.
  • This soup is a nourishing breakfast option, beneficial for obesity management and urinary tract health. It also serves as an energy booster for patients.


  • Long Pepper Root-Poppy Seeds Milk:

    Ingredients:
    Cow/ buffalo milk (in sleeplessness) 1 cup
    Long Pepper root powder 1 t.spoon
    Dates 2-4 pieces
    Rock sugar ½ t.spoon
    Cardamom ¼ t.spoon
    Poppy seeds powder ½ t.spoon
    Dryfruit powder (optional) 1 t.spoon
    Recipe:
  • In a pan, add milk, dates, and poppy seeds. Boil for 4-5 minutes.
  • Once the dates soften, blend the mixture with a hand blender.
  • Boil again and add sugar, cardamom, and long pepper root powder. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with powdered or chopped dry fruits.
  • Serve hot.
  • This wholesome and remedial drink helps with insomnia and stress while also aiding recovery from weakness after illness or hospitalization.
