How to Use Large Cardamom in the Kitchen
Large cardamom has a distinct aroma and flavour compared to small cardamom.

Recipe: |
In a small bowl, combine 2-3 teaspoons of milk with coffee, cinnamon, and large cardamom powder. Beat well for 8-10 minutes. |
Heat a pot over medium flame and add milk. Bring it to a boil, stirring occasionally for 4-5 minutes. |
Pour the boiled milk into the bowl and mix thoroughly. |
Serve hot. |

Large Cardamom-Papaya Salad:
Ingredients: |
Large cardamom powder |
½ t.spoon |
Fenugreek leaves |

Papaya chopped (ripe) |

Sesame seeds |
2 t.spoon |
Lemon juice |
1 t.spoon |
Raw papaya grated |
2 t.spoon |
Salt |
As per taste |
Pepper |

Sesame oil |

Coriander leaves |

Recipe: |
In a bowl, combine papaya, freshly cut basil leaves, and raw papaya. Mix well. |
Add salt, pepper, and large cardamom powder. |
Finally, drizzle lemon juice and mix again. |
Heat oil in a pan, add sesame seeds and let them pop. Pour the sesame tempering over the salad. |
Toss everything together and serve. |

Millet coarse flour |

Ghee |

Jaggery |

Water |

Large cardamom powder |

Ajwain seeds |
¼ t.spoon |
Recipe: |
Heat a heavy-bottomed pan and add ghee. Stir in the millet flour and roast on a medium flame for 3-4 minutes until it turns light brown. |
Gradually add water and jaggery, stirring continuously. Simmer until the mixture becomes a smooth, uniform liquid. |
Add ajwain seeds and large cardamom powder, then cook for another 1-2 minutes. |
Serve hot. |
This warm and soothing drink is beneficial for coughs, colds, and fevers in both children and adults. It helps ease throat discomfort and acts as a natural mucolytic. |
