Home Remedies of Curry Leaf (Meetha neem, Kadi Patta)

  • Put fresh juice of Curry Leaves in the eyes, which prevents early development of cataract and also make the eyes look bright.

  • Take 2 teaspoons of Curry Leaf juice mixed with a teaspoon of Lime juice every morning. It treats morning sickness, and nausea due to indigestion.

  • Ground Curry Leaves to a fine paste and mixes it with buttermilk and drink this in the morning on an empty stomach. It gives a beneficial result for stomach upsets.

  • Eating 10 fresh fully grown Curry Leaves every morning for three months will help to prevent diabetes due to heredity factors.

  • To treat urinary problems, mix Curry Leaf juice with Cardamom (elaichi) powder and consume it.

  • To cure chronic anemia, consume dried Curry Leaves along with hot water or milk.

  • To get rid of burns apply Curry Leaves as poultices on the affected area.

  • To control blood pressure, take some washed Curry Leaves and add 3/4 glass of water. Churn it well and add some Lemon juice. Consume it once a day on an empty stomach for about one month.

  • To reduce obesity, chew a few Curry Leaves every day.

  • For wound infection – boil water with 10-15 curry leaves, and rinse the wound with this lukewarm water. It helps to remove debris and heal the wound rapidly.


  • How to use Curry Leaf (Meetha neem, Kadi Patta) for hair care

  • Mix Curry Leaves with some Yoghurt (Dahi) and make them into a fine paste. Massage it over the scalp and leave it for at least 15 minutes, Later rinse it off. It helps to treat dry scalp and dandruff.

  • Curry leaves, turmeric and, Multani mitti, and 2-4 tsp of honey mix it well, apply to the scalp, it helps to treat an oily scalp.

  • During the summer season, take curry leaves with branches, add them to the water, boil for while, sit it for 2-3 hours, and wash your hair with that water, it gives a good aroma to the hair and nourishes the scalp.

  • Heat sesame oil in the pan, and add curry leaves to it, this oil is helpful in small carbuncle or itchy scalp and also prevents premature hair graying.
