Home Remedies to Relieve Itching (Pruritus)
Add 1 tablespoon of dried thyme leaves to 2 cups of boiling water. Cover, cool, strain, and apply directly to the itchy area.
Crush fresh peppermint leaves and rub them on the affected area.
Extract the gel from a fresh aloe vera leaf and apply it directly to the irritated skin.
Squeeze lemon juice on the itchy spot and let it dry. This can provide relief.
Mix 1 part water with 3 parts baking soda to form a paste. Apply to the itchy area (avoid using on broken skin).
Crush basil leaves to extract juice and apply it directly to the skin.
Add 2–3 cups of apple cider vinegar to a tub of lukewarm water and soak for 15-30 minutes.
Mix 2 teaspoons each of cinnamon powder and honey. Apply to the itchy area for 10–15 minutes, then rinse. Use up to 3 times daily.
Mix 6 tablespoons of coconut oil with 4 tablespoons of lemon juice. Warm slightly and apply to the affected area overnight.
Mix 3 tablespoons of cornstarch with water to make a paste. Apply to itchy skin, leave for 15 minutes, then rinse. Repeat 3 times daily.

Avoid sudden changes in temperature, such as bathing immediately after sun exposure or moving from a cold environment to extreme heat.
Regularly bathe with water boiled with neem leaves.
Refrain from combining dairy with sour or salty foods.
Do not use personal items belonging to others.
