Causes of Cholesterol

  • High cholesterol is caused by the factors like, obesity, diet(which has a high amount of low-density lipid), psychological problems, stress, sedentary lifestyle.

  • Sign and Symptoms of Cholesterol

  • High cholesterol is a silent killer, as it has no symptoms in the early stage of the disease.

  • After a few days or months, the stage of high cholesterol level in the blood creates sometimes dizziness, difficulty in brisk walking, chest pain, headache, and calf muscle pain.

  • Risk Factors and Consultation of Doctor

  • High cholesterol levels in the blood may risk the clot, plaque, narrowing the arteries, blockages of the vessels, and heart attack too.

  • If the cholesterol level in the blood is high always follow the guideline of treatment advised by the physician.

  • Home Remedies for Cholesterol

  • Drinking fresh Orange juice daily will help reduce blood cholesterol levels.

  • Flaxseeds are great for lowering Cholesterol. Grind the seeds and add them to yogurt or cereal and consume it.

  • Add 2 teaspoons of Coriander (Dhaniya) seed powder to 1 cup of water and boil it. Then strain the mixture and drink once or twice a day.

  • Add 1 teaspoon each of Onion juice and Honey. Make a mixture and take this once a day.

  • Take 1 finely chopped Onion with 1/4th teaspoon of Pepper. Mix these with 1 cup of buttermilk and consume it on regular basis.

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of Indian gooseberry powder in a glass of warm water. Take this daily in the morning on an empty stomach.

  • Consume 2 to 4 cloves of Garlic (Lahasun) with water every day.

  • Boil one and half tablespoons of water by adding 3/4 teaspoon of Turmeric (Haldi) and 2 tablespoons of cooked mashed Eggplant (brinjal) in it. Later spread this paste on whole wheat bread and eat after meals.

  • Eating half-boiled Broccoli is good in lowering cholesterol levels.

  • Take ajwain seed, flax seeds, and ginger powder, mix it well, take it in the morning empty stomach, it helps to reduces cholesterol.

  • Take a ginger powder and soda bi-carb once a day, it is beneficial for cholesterol levels.

  • Black cumin and turmeric once a day are useful to lower cholesterol.

  • Roast Dill fruit(Anethum Sowa), black sesame, and add a pinch of raw brown sugar, take it with normal water a day, it lowers the cholesterol.

  • Lemon juice with honey twice a day lowers cholesterol.

  • Pomegranate juice with black pepper powder is useful to regulate cholesterol levels in the blood.
