Home remedies for Bites


Bites can arise from insects or mosquitoes or bees the immediate treatment can be one of the following:

  • Mix grounded Cinnamon (Dalchini), Honey, and warm water and apply this to the affected area.

  • Take Cider Vinegar and Lemon juice mix them well and apply this to the affected area.

  • Make a thick paste of Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and water. Apply this paste generously on the affected area.

  • Take small slices of fresh Onions and place them on the bites for some time until the itching is reduced.

  • Take Lime peel and rub it on the affected area, this will produce a soothing sensation.

  • Take a piece of Garlic (Lehsun) and rub it on the wounded area.

  • Mix finely ground salt and water to make a thick paste and apply this paste directly to bite.

  • Crush Tulsi leaves and apply directly on the bites.

  • Cut fresh Aloe Vera leaf, take the juice and leave it for 15 minutes in the refrigerator. Now rub this chilled juice directly on the affected area.

  • Mosquito bites can be relieved by applying menthol extract with oil.

  • Also, bites pain, and itching is relieved by a paste of curry leaves, mint leaves, basil leaves.

  • The application of pure honey to the burning bite site is useful.

  • Insect bite also healed rapidly by intake of green tea, garlic, ginger on the regular diet.

  • Avoid taking food that increases the infections like, curd, black gram, bakery, and dairy products.


  • When to Consult the Doctor for Bites


  • If bite pain or itching gets worst, or vomiting or diarrhea is also associated, then better to take emergency treatment by a doctor.

  • If the bite wound is not properly healed in time, better to take advice and treatment from the physician.
