Causes of Back Pain

  • The main cause of back pain is mostly due to age, arthritic, or rheumatic problems.

  • Also, back pain occurs due to pressure on the spinal cord, and other supporting muscles.

  • Back pain is also associated with sciatic nerve depressions.

  • Sometimes it occurs during menstruation with abdominal cramps.

  • In acute conditions like heavy weight lifting, or falling down, and traumatic injuries of the back are the causes of back pain.

  • Sometimes it also due to inappropriate beddings or inappropriate sleeping posture.


  • Symptoms of Back Pain

  • Difficulty in forwarding bend as well as in backward.

  • Difficulty in walking especially in the morning time or excessive work.

  • Pricking pain also occurs at a relaxing time.

  • Moving down, bending right or left is also difficult in some cases.

  • In some cases, difficulty in sleeping on the right-left or straight has also occurred.


  • Home Remedies For Back Pain

  • Add 1 tablespoon of Chamomile flowers to 1 cup of boiling water and leave it to steep for 10 minutes. Drink around 1 to 3 cups daily.

  • Grind 1 cup each of Poppy Seeds (Khus Khus) and rock candy. Consume 2 teaspoons of this mixture twice a day with milk.

  • Tie a cup of uncooked Rice inside a cloth and heat it for 30 to 60 seconds on the microwave in a low setting. Then keep this on the back for relief.

  • Boil fresh Ginger (Adarak) pieces in a cup of water for about 30 minutes on low flame. Later cool it and consume this solution with Honey (Shahad).

  • Take a plastic bag with few crushed ice cubes and place it on the painful area.

  • Add 8 to 10 Basil (Tulsi) leaves in a cup of water and boil until it is reduced to half. Cool the solution to room temperature and add a pinch of salt. Drink it twice a day for severe pain.

  • Consume warm water mixed with 1 tablespoon of Honey (Shahad).

  • Mix equal quantities of Cuscus Grass and Sugar (Chini), then consume 5 grams of it twice a day with warm milk.

  • Soak Wheat along with 1/2 quantity of Cuscus grass is mixed with 1/2 quantity of Coriander (Dhaniya). Mix it with boiled milk 4 times of that wheat. When the milk is left 2/3 of the original quantity then consume it.

  • Massage the painful back with Castor oil.

  • Massage with Garlic (Lahasun) and Eucalyptus oil on the painful area.

  • Increase the consumption of vitamin C in a regular diet.

  • Take 15 Fenugreek Seed and/ or Chandrashoora (Lepidium sativum), soak overnight take it in the morning, it relieves inflammation and pain too.

  • Avoid taking sour and salty food during back pain, take ginger and honey twice a day is beneficial in relieving the pain.

  • Two tablespoons of honey with half-cup of water, take in the night is also beneficial.

  • Take rice and black gram lentils, cook them nicely, make a cloth pocket and apply to the oiled skin, and massage warm. (fomentation) to the back region, it relieves pain.
