Ingredients :
Red rice - 300 gm.
Water - 1500 ml.
Salt - to taste.
Mustard - 1/2 teaspoon.
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon.
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 teaspoon.
Dry ginger - 1/4 inch piece.
Cinnamon - 1/4 inch piece.
Cardamom - 1 No.
Cloves - 2 No.
Coconut milk/milk - 100 ml.
Total quantity - 1 liter.
How to prepare :
Wash and soak rice for 5 to 10 minutes.
Meantime, make a powder of roasted mustard, fenugreek & cumin seeds.
Boil water in a pressure cooker, add salt, washed rice and ground powder to it and stir well.
Close the cooker lid and cook on medium flame till 4-5 whistles and leave steam naturally.
Remove the lid, add coconut milk or milk and serve it hot with any stir-fried vegetables and chutney.
