Ingredients for 3 Extracts :

  • Fresh coconut.

  • Water - 3-4 cups (720-960 ml).

  • Sweeteners (optional) - Honey/Sugar/Dates

  • How to prepare :

  • Take a fresh mature coconut, collect the water in a glass and grate the white flesh with a hand grater.

  • Add coconut flesh extracted from the hard shell, coconut water, and an extra cup of plain water to the blender.

  • Blend the mixture for about 2 to 3 minutes or until the mixture seems well combined.

  • Place a clean muslin cloth on a bowl and strain the blended mixture and squeeze with a clean hand so that all the milk is strained away.

  • Now we get thick coconut milk or the 1st extract.

  • Now add sweetener to the milk to make it tastier.

  • You can save the remaining pulp to add in oatmeal, smoothies, or energy bites, or put back the coconut shreds in the blender again, add 1 to 1.5 cups water and blend again. Again strain the mixture in a different bowl with the same muslin cloth. Squeeze the mixture with a clean hand. Now we get thin coconut milk or the 2nd extract.

  • Continue the above process to get the 3rd extract.

  • Store these extracts in an air-tight glass container in a refrigerator.

  • Contradictions :

    Sweetened coconut milk is not suggested for diabetes patients.
