Ingredients :
Indian gooseberry - 1/2 kg.
Gingelly oil - 30 ml.
Curry leaves - 50 gm.
Black pepper - 5 gm (or as required).
Turmeric powder - 3 gm.
Salt - 5 gm.
Total quantity - 300 gm.
How to prepare :
Wash the gooseberries thoroughly, dry them well, remove the seeds, and cut them into pieces.
Take an iron pan, pour enough gingelly oil and stir fry the gooseberries.
Add curry leaves, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, and salt to the fried gooseberries and mix well.
To have a unique taste, asafoetida powder (hing) can also be added.

The high fibre content in amla helps to relieve constipation.
Supports liver function and improves eyesight.
Chromium present in Amla reduces bad cholesterol, and stimulates insulin production, hence reducing blood glucose levels in diabetics.
Amla is an effective home remedy for anemia.
