How to Prepare Rose Water

  • Make a paste with a rose, remove the petals, wash it, put it in a mortar and pestle, add 1 cup of water to the paste, soak overnight, strain, and take the next morning.

  • If you are sickly, or need additional benefits, you may take petals as well.

  • You can drink this water all day by mixing two rose petals with 4-5 glasses of water.

  • Container/ Vessel Should be Prioritized for Better Results:

  • Earthen/ glass/ silver/ gold.


  • Health Benefits of Rose Water

  • Rose Water is beneficial for its soothing, and healing properties.

  • In addition to skin and hair health benefits, it also promotes body fluid health.

  • The beneficial effects of Rose Water can also be seen on dyspepsia, ulcers, and even mouth ulcers.

  • During the summer season and for individuals with pitta dominance diseases, rose water is beneficial.



  • Age-Wise Drinking Dose and Benefits:

    Children:

  • ¼ cup in the morning is adequate for children above 2-3 years old.

  • It reduces digestive problems like stomatitis and skin eruptions.

  • It is also beneficial for infections of the urine in children or problems related to them.

  • It also helps with the sore throat which frequently occurs at this age.

  • Adults:

  • 1 cup in the morning or 3-4 glasses in a day.

  • In this age group, it helps to regain digestive health and treat ulcers, and dyspepsia.

  • It helps women with high blood flow and excessive fluid loss in menstruation.

  • It helps to reduce stress and mood swings during pre-menstrual and even in pregnancy.

  • This water is also beneficial for anorexia and mood enhancers during pregnancy.

  • Elders:

  • 1 cup in the morning, and before meals 1 cup twice or thrice a day.

  • Rose Water is beneficial for urinary problems in old age.
