Therapeutic Indication

Deepen (appetizer), pachan (digestive), chakshusya (good for eyes), chardighna (anti-emetic), kasa-swasahara (anti-cough and anti-asthmatic)

Therapeutic Uses

1. Kasa - powder with honey is given in dry cough.
2. Vatarti - powder of lavanga is applied with water to the affected area of pain.
3. Chardi - powder with lemon juice and sugar is beneficial in vomiting.
4. Visuchika - lavanga medicated water is given to the patient with cholera.

Dose

Powder - 1-2 gm, oil - 1-2 drops
