Therapeutic Indication

Bhedana (drastic purgative), vishaghna (anti-poisonous), arshoghna (useful to treat piles), krimighna (anti-helminthic), sothahara (anti-inflammatory)

Therapeutic Uses

1. Raktarsha - boiled and sun-dried tender fruits are given with whey in the morning for bleeding piles.
2. Jwara - root decoction is useful to treat intermittent fever.
3. Vatarakta - oil of karira stem is applied to the affected area of gout pain.

Powder - 1-3 gm, decoction - 40-80 ml
