Deepan(increase appetite), grahi (reduces over secretions), atisarahara (anti-diarrheal), grahaniroganut (anti-dysenteric), arshoghna (useful for piles treatment), jwarahara (anti-pyretic)

Therapeutic Uses
|
1. Pittatisara - bark and seed powder with madhu and ativisha is taken with rice water in (pittaja) diarrhea.
2. Kustha - paste of seed with dhataki, karanja, and jati is applied to the skin disorders.
3. Jwara - decoction of kutaj with katuki is beneficial in fever.
4. Grahani - bark powder with buttermilk is beneficial in dysentery.
