Therapeutic Indication

Grahi (stops oversecretions), vrushya (aphrodisiac), sthaulyahara (anti-obesity), vatavyadhihara (treat Vata humor diseases), atisarhara (anti-diarrheal), raktapittahara (treat bleeding disorders), kusthaghna (treat skin disorders), arshoghna (anti-hemorrhoidal), nadivranapaha (for abscess, and sinus tract)

Therapeutic Uses

1. Anartava - Guggulu with kasis, and aloe is beneficial in amenorrhea in adult girls.
2. Aamavata - Guggulu with cow urine is beneficial in rheumatic arthritis.
3. Arsha - lepa, and fumigation of Guggulu in hammorhoides are beneficial.

Not required

Purification

The same proportion of Triphala and guduchi, make a decoction out of it, after that strain with the raw guggulu on the cloth till the whole guggulu is strained in the decoction. Separate the upper part of the decoction and the semisolid part of the decoction in the pot. Heat the semisolid part of the decoction on the medium flame, when the mixture became thicker, add ghee. After hardening the Guggulu apply ghee and store it.
