How to Use Moringa for Skin:

  • Drumstick fruit and leaves decoction internally are beneficial for skin infections and wounds.

  • Drumstick leaves paste is applied externally to acne, scars, and wounds.

  • Decoction of drumstick bark is beneficial for internal as well as external use for skin infections.


  • Benefits for Skin:

  • Drumstick leaves are extremely beneficial for the skin since they prevent forming free radicals and act as antioxidants.

  • It detoxifies the skin and cleanses it of dirt, pollution, and dust.

  • The leaves also have antibacterial properties, which are useful for treating acne and wounds.


  • Side effects and risk factors:

  • A large number of hot preparations and long-term fomentations can lead to white or black discoloration of the skin.

  • It relieves skin inflammation but its use is recommended based on age, body part, and season.

  • Shigru should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.


  • Moringa face pack:

  • Make a paste of moringa leaves add 1 teaspoon of honey and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon, apply it to the face. It helps to clear the clogged pores, also reduces inflammations and acne.

  • Make a decoction of 3-4 drumstick fruits, strain out the pulp, and take it once a day for sores and wounds.

  • Washing wounds with the decoction of moringa leaves and bark helps to speed healing.

  • Apply the leaf juice with rose petals and jaggery to the sun-tanned skin for 10 minutes, it will reduce spots and blemishes as well.
