How to Use Drumstick (Moringa) for Natural Deworming

Drumstick, also known as Moringa, has been traditionally used to support digestive health and help manage intestinal worm infestations due to its natural antiparasitic properties.

  • Boil one drumstick pod until soft. Extract and strain the pulp, then consume it with a pinch of black pepper powder and black salt before meals. This traditional remedy may help expel intestinal worms in adults.

  • Take dry drumstick seed powder with warm water in the morning on an empty stomach. Regular use may help prevent worm infestations and support digestive wellness.

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of fresh drumstick leaves with 1 teaspoon of jaggery and give it with warm water. This traditional remedy is commonly used to support natural deworming in children.

  • In cases of anal itching and pinworm infestation, drumstick oil prepared from drumstick pods and leaves may be applied externally around the anal region for relief.

  • To support deworming, mix 1 teaspoon of drumstick oil with 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and consume it before bedtime.

  • Precautions and Dietary Recommendations

  • Follow a fresh, balanced, and nutritious diet during deworming. Avoid excessively sweet, spicy, oily, and processed foods.

  • Excessive consumption of drumsticks or their preparations may cause diarrhea, stomach upset, or other digestive discomforts.

  • Drumstick leaves and oil should be used in moderation for children, with the quantity adjusted according to age and individual tolerance.

  • Consult a qualified healthcare professional before using drumstick-based remedies, especially for young children, pregnant women, or individuals with underlying medical conditions.
