Health Benefits of Dadima (Pomegranate)
The most well-known and effective uses of Dadima in Ayurveda are hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, anemia, diarrhea, dysentery, blood coagulation, infections, cancer, dentistry, piles, and many others.
Flavonoids, anthocyanins such as pelargonidin, delphinidin, and cyanidin as well as their derivatives, tannins such as ellagitannins, punicalagin, punicalin, and pedunculagin, anthoxanthins including catechin and epicatechin, and many more compounds must be included in the plant.
It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antimicrobial, hypoglycemic, anti-hyperlipidaemic, and many other properties.
