Health Benefits of Agnimantha
(Clerodendrum phlomidis and Premna integrifolia)
Agnimantha is mentioned in Ayurveda for inflammation, skin diseases, fever, and metabolic disorders.
Clerodendrum has pectolinarigenin, hispidum, clerodendron, raffinose etc. Premna integrifolia has premnine, botulin, B-sitosterol, premenol, luteolin, ganikarine and ganiarine.
It has anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, antipyretic, anti-rheumatic, anti-oxidant, gastro-protective, digestive, and many other properties.
Fever: It is hot and the best diaphoretic, thus helping to relieve fever and infections.
Inflammation: Its external and internal use is beneficial for chronic and acute infections.
Cuts and wounds: External use of leaves are beneficial to heal wounds and bruises.
Ulcers and colitis: Agnimantha treats the ulcer internally too, it helps to prevent ulcer formation in the intestinal flora.
