How to Prepare Ginger Water

  • Wash ginger properly, peel the extra outer skin, slice into 1-inch small piece, and soak overnight in 1 glass of water.

  • Take it in the morning, or two batches, the first half in the morning, and the second one before breakfast or lunch.

  • You can also take ginger pieces soaked in rock salt before eating to improve your appetite.

  • Container/ Vessel Should be Prioritized for Better Results:

  • Earthen/ glass/ gold/ ceramic pots.


  • Health Benefits of Ginger Water

  • Digestion and appetite are improved with ginger water, and also benefit your respiratory system.

  • It is also useful for treating upper respiratory tract infections, indigestion, anorexia, and stomach-related problems.

  • However, it should be used wisely based on the season and the individual's body type because, in hot weather, it could be harsh on the body.

  • Especially useful during rainy and winter seasons.



  • Age-Wise Drinking Dose and Benefits:

    Children:

  • ¼ cup in the morning is adequate for children above 5-6 years.

  • It enhances appetite and aids digestion.

  • It also prevents the common cold and cough.

  • Adults:

  • 1 cup in the morning or 3-4 cups in a day.

  • For people with low appetites and obesity/overweight, it helps regain gastrointestinal health.

  • As well as reducing indigestion, it also helps alleviate heaviness after eating.

  • It helps to fight against various infections.

  • Elders:

  • Take it twice a day; 1 cup in the morning, and 1 cup before a meal.

  • It helps to reduce arthritis and rheumatism-related joint inflammations, and pain.

  • Ginger is also beneficial for generalized weakness, and low metabolism in old age.

  • It is good for hair and skin rejuvenation and also slows down the ageing process.
