Vamaka (induce vomiting), kusthaghna(useful in skin disorders), kandughna (useful in itching), udarrogahara(useful in abdominal disorders), kamlahara (used to treat jaundice)

Therapeutic Uses

1. Kustha - koshataki sed oil is applied to the skin in disorders.
2. Yakrutvikara - koshataki kwath is given for remedial vomiting in hepatomegaly.
3. Vrana - a decoction is useful as irrigation in chronic wound healing.

Dose

Powder - 3-6 gm, juice - 10-20 ml
